Robotic cables are characterized by their ability to withstand high bending- and torsion cycles – without restriction in their functionality and their reliability or resp. life expectancy. Exceptionally unique are the comparably low bending radii at the same time.
The life expectancy may be adapted to each robot type, this means their specific load profile is considered. Typical are „flex life“ values of > 3 – 5 million cycles. For extreme applications, the life expectancy may be increased by factor 10. This is made possible by not only applying suitable process engineering, but also using special materials for the conductors as well as for the insulation of the cables.
